Home Sweet Home
Arriving in Pointe Noire we met Arthur and Swantje, a German couple travelling in an IFA truck.  They had been waiting for a full week for their Angolan visa. Little did we know that we would also be waiting a full week for a simple transit visa! It was going to be a long long wait...

Luckily, we met a wonderful guy who came to our rescue. Johan (a SA'n working in Congo), who has a passion for overland travel and the African bush, noticed our Landy's parked on the beach and soon made contact. His friendly personality made an immediate impact on us ...

We would like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE THANKS to Johan and his staff (Jean, Richard and Gregory) for their generous hospitality.  Johan, many many thanks for the week we have 'invaded' your home.  We appreciate it very much - hopefully your driveway will survive all the Land Rover's oil leaks! (and the Range Rover's off course). But at least you and future house owners will all remember us - GRIN!
